Dr. A. Kalaiselvan received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Govt. Arts College, Chidambaram, India, and his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Sri Pushpam College, Tanjore, India, in 2014. In 2016, he joined IISER-TVM as a Ph.D. student under the guidance of Dr. S. Gokulnath, where he focused on the synthesis of carbazole-embedded porphyrins, investigating their unique properties and applications. In 2022, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at NISER, Bhubaneshwar, India, under the supervision of Prof. A. Srinivasan, working on the synthesis and exploration of PAH-embedded porphyrin hybrids.
Dr. Kalaiselvan joined us in 2024 as a NAWA Ulam fellow, where he is currently working on “Imprinted Helicity in Acene-Based Macrocycles” to explore new advancements in macrocyclic chemistry.
